The Dnepropetrovsk Opera House was founded on 26 December 1974.

The Opera House is the main stage for guest music bands.

The House's company have been on tours in Bulgaria, Poland, France, Ireland, Lebanon, China, Jordanian, Israel, the USA, Italy, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Germany and other countries.

The repertoire consists of different genres including operas, operettas and musical fairy-tales, concerts, ballets.

The Opera and Ballet House seats 1,148 people: 845 seats in the stalls and amphitheatre, 303 — in the balcony.
