The Sea Aquarium (the Aquarium, for short) was opened in Yalta in 2007 by the businessman Oleg Zubkov, the owner of the Yalta zoo, Skazka.
The Aquarium is situated at a distance of 30 meters (100 feet) from the entrance to Skazka.
The entrance to the Aquarium is made in the form of a shark's mouth, and the room itself is stylised as a cave with stalactites and stalagmites, where aquariums, built in the walls and containing sea dwellers, resemble windows.
The Aquarium has over a hundred sea dwellers. The collection is being constantly enlarged.
