Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Vorobyovy Gory (Moscow)

The first church, situated there, was first mentioned in 1644. However, it is not known exactly when it was founded, most likely even earlier. Vorobyovo Village itself has been known since 1453.

The now existing classical church was built from 1811 to 1813. Its interior and furnishings date back to the construction period.

The high altar is dedicated to the Life-Giving Trinity; the southern side chapel — to St. Nicholas; the northern — to St. Sergius of Radonezh; the side altar was consecrated in the honour of St. Jonah, the Metropolitan of Moscow.

The Church has never been shut down. There is a charitable service in the Church.

A stone church in a settlement of silversmiths has been known since 1657. From 1764 to 1768, an owner of the neighbouring estate Athanasiy Goncharov built a bell tower with a church of St. John the Baptist in its lower tier to the west of the above mentioned church.
